In Romancing with Nature, Jo’s affinity with the natural world is passionately expressed on the canvas, rendered in rich detail and lovingly composed to create paintings that immerse the viewer in the scene presented. Her training with masters in watercolour and oil shows in her impeccable technique and the pictures in her catalogue and on-line gallery do little justice to the work she has produced over the past eight years. Even her mentor, Ong Kim Seng, noticed her strength in capturing not just the details of a scene, but the ambience and unique perspective that bring one right onto location, painting with her.
