a place for art and the community

Picture
Nestled in the conservation enclave of Tiong Bahru Estate, an area marked by art deco inspired public housing built in the 1930s to the 1950s, the gallery presents art in a relaxed manner where the art can be appreciated by everyone in a non-intimidating, intimate atmosphere.

WHITE CANVAS GALLERY aims to bring contemporary art from the Southeast Asian region to audiences in Singapore through solo, group and thematic exhibits curated in-house or co-curated with partner galleries and regional curators. Every exhibit features a complementary artist’s talk, lecture or hosted dinner to discuss the art and make the work more accessible to the public.

We lean towards emerging artists from the immediate region of Asia whom we want to provide a conducive space to enjoy their work, with the social, logistical and marketing support to help them reach out to new audiences.
Proposals are welcome; from artists, curators and galleries who want to collaborate with us and share our vision of providing a platform for work & mediums under-represented in galleries and museums. If you are interested, send us an email.

For public Exhibitions, these will be held at The Orange Thimble Cafe which is located at 56 Eng Hoon Street #01-68.
